Founded in 2001, with the experience of Peter "The Dragon" Cochetas in a 2800 sqft facility, DRE has grown into one of the nation's premier performance shops for late model corvettes and fuel injected vehicles. We may seem new to the business but only a couple facilities worldwide have more late model domestic fuel injected experience. In just a few short years we've easily eclipsed hundreds of shops that have been around for decades. Today we occupy 3 different facilities for all our operations and our main facility is just over 10000 sqft.

A little History
With the release of the gen 3 SBC, known as the LS1 in late 1996, Peter, as well as a finite number of other engine builders in the country began to experiment with the new power plant in 1997. It did not take long to realize the potential in the gen 3 motor design and realy motors were quickly upgraded to 450HP with changes to camshafts and cylinder heads. With Peter's extensive knowledge of computer tuning dating back to 1989, DRE was able to efficiently tune these gen 3 vehicles to optimize their potential and soon 500+ horsepower combinations abounded. It didn't take long before the capacity to tune any combination conceivable led to some pretty wild modifications at DRE. In early 2002, DRE introduced a twin roots supercharged c5 Corvette that pushed the capacity of the factory computer further than ever thought possible. While that project lacked any realistic marketability, it did establish that DRE was capable of accomplishing anything in regards to these late model vehicles and it wasn't long before we were fabricating custom turbo systems for Corvettes and other vehicles. With turbo systems came such rave response that we now have a new division dedicated to turbocharging domestic cars, Dragon Turbo Systems. Turbo systems were just one aspect of performance engineering applied to these new engines. DRE has remained equally dedicated to engine development, supercharging, and nitrous performance as well. Part of our reputation comes from dominating at teh race track with our engines and engine combinations. Today DRE still owns almost all the regional speed and power records for the gen 3 & 4 motors. With a firm commitment to technology, innovation, and engineering, DRE has eclipsed the competition in power and driveability for the gen 2, 3, and 4 GM motors. From head work, to full built race motors nobody has gone further faster and has had a more solid reputation for doing it. Today, with over 400 custom cars under our belt, the most advanced technology in the region, and a dedication and thirst for pushing the envelope, DRE is poised to remain at the forefront and become the next household name in GM/Domestic performance.
